Fun, games and environmental education.
GIMA is a social project run by Flavia and Gabriel Oliveira of the Bom Jesus coffee farm. The event raises environmental awareness among young people – kids from year 5. The children compete in a playful way and are assigned tasks to think about solutions for the environment. They also learn how to calculate their school's carbon footprint to understand the impact we all have in the world.
All kids get something to take home from the games day.
Through our wonderful partner Minas Hill, 23 Degrees donated bicycles for the children of the coffee farming communities. Now they can ride their bike to school!
