Fun, games and environmental education

GIMA is a social project run by Flavia and Gabriel Oliveira, of the Bom Jesus coffee farm. It is an event which raises environmental awareness among young people – kids from year 5. The children compete in a playful way and are assigned tasks to think about solutions for the environment. They also learn how to calculate their school's carbon footprint as a way of understanding the impact we all have in the world.

All kids get something to take home from the games day.

Through our wonderful partner Minas Hill, 23 Degrees donated bicycles for the children of the coffee farming communities making their way to school a bit easier.
